When I was a kid my grandmother would design her own Ludi boards. (Ludo or Parchesi to the Yankees) I figured it was a Jamaican thing. I only played it with my Jamaican family.
Turns out, people play this game all over the world.
But ours was different. Grandma made it. The board was hand painted. Not a straight line in sight. The pieces were bottle caps. The cups were the tops of old laundry detergent bottles.
The best part is - we played all night.
Me and my family make these now. We make all kinds of games. We believe in playing. I pray we become even more faithful.

Shout out to my man Chris for helping me make the wood part.
